It not only adds to the architectural essence but also gives a unique look to the house as well. Previously people used to apply a regular shade in front of the window which not only barred the sun light (which was required ) but also barred the architectural uniqueness of the arch window blinds. The present new designs of arch window blinds tackled these problems well with more artistic ideas. Shift from traditional blinds: The new designs focused more on maintaining and enhancing the architectural look of the house along with fulfilling its basic purpose of light blockage and privacy. Unlike traditional window blinds, arch window blinds opens top down, having a long cord to fulfill the mechanism effectively rather than using a ladder which would have marred the architectural view. Styles of Arch window blinds: The three most effective styles of arch window blinds are: Fan-fold style: In this style the window opens from either one side or the other with blades moving to one side of the window. Thus, collecting all as a vertical line at one end or the other of the arched window. Dual-Fan-fold style: In this style of arch window blind both sides opens up to meet in the middle of the window hence forming a vertical line in the middle. Mini-blind style: In this style each blind of the window rotates to let the light in. Thus, each blind working as a window on its own hence rightly named as “mini-blinds”. Enhancing decoration of the house: The arch window blinds can add more to the décor of the house by using shades that match the color of the rest of the house to give it a more soothing appearance. The fan fold style is more in harmony with the traditional horizontal and vertical style of window blinds. Use of traditional curtains on some portions of the window or wall along the window beautifies it further. They let the user keep the architectural look as well as adjusting the flow of light into the room. Enhancement in mini-blind style: Many arch window blinds are enhanced by enclosing mini blinds into a frame that fits well into the arched window.
