Message: Once again, my Father-in-law, Wayne had to teach me.
He had been telling me for nearly a year that I needed to use a sawx all to make the dove tail notches in the center pine post for the rafters. I kept insisting that it would not work.
The Sunday before he came up from So Texas to Arkansas to help for a couple days, I took a whole 8 hours to make ONE notch in that tree.. that is the one on the left in this picture.
His second day up here, he disappeared for about an hour and came back with a new Sawz all and gave it to me. I continued to insist that it would not work!!
Well, he pulled it out of the case and proceeded to put a beautiful notch in a dead log on the ground in about 90 seconds. I stood with my jaw hanging for about 3 minutes.
I played with it for about 5 minutes and was ready to make my notches.
The next day, we picked up some scafold from a friend and I got to work. Now, instead of 8 hours per notch, it only took me about 20 minutes.
One again, thank you Wayne!! You can not put a value on the good help of friends and family!!
