Cross braces in every direction will make this a good strong roof. It was very exciting when most of the bracing was up and I could not move any of it. It was like a rock. Most of that was because of all the triangular bracing we used. I must recommend a book here: The Craft of Modular Post & Beam Mitchell, James This book teaches a lot about how to do the beam work that I used a little on the center post of the cabin, but also will be used a lot in the berm house planned for building next year.
